Founder and Managing Director
Hans founded Sengex in 2009 and has over 30 years of diverse technical, entrepreneurial and executive business experience. Prior to Sengex, he founded Winthrop Investment Group a real estate development and asset management firm active in the mid-Atlantic and the Southeastern United States. He is also Vice Chairman of Heyer Medical AG, Bad Ems, Germany, a 125 year old global medical device manufacturer. Additionally, Hans most recently served on the Board of Trustees for the South Carolina Research Authority, a not for profit R&D company focused on Advanced Manufacturing Technologies and Consortium Management.
Prior to starting multiple successful businesses, Hans served 7 years on active duty and 4 years in the reserves as a communications officer in the United States Air Force. His key assignments at the Pentagon included the National Military Command Center and the Air Staff.
Hans earned a BS from the United States Air Force Academy and a MBA from The George Washington University School of Business. He is an avid skier, boater and holds a commercial pilots license.
